In freight forwarding, an Audit is used to determine the accuracy of freight bills. It involves the inspection of a process or system to ensure that all requirements are met. An audit can apply to an entire organization or be specific to a process and can be carried out by an employee or an external firm or authority. The purpose of an audit is to ensure that the company’s accounts are managed per the law.
