NVOCC

What is
NVOCC
?

Non-vessel Operating Common Carriers are ocean carriers transporting goods under their own house bill of lading without operating any transportation vessels. They usually accept small shipments and then combine them into container loads or spaces that they lease from other ocean carriers. NVOCCs own containers in some cases and do not own their own warehouse.
