Advanced Planning and Scheduling
?

Planning and Scheduling refer to any computer program that uses advanced logic and algorithm to efficiently perform real-time scheduling, resource planning, demand management, etc., considering business rules and constraints. APS uses five main components: demand planning, production planning, production scheduling, distribution planning, and transportation planning, to generate multiple plans out of which the management chooses the best one. APS improves the synchronization of processes and provides complete visibility and control over the operations of the company.
